Since being first introduced more than 90 years ago as a tribute to Charles Lindbergh’s iconic Transatlantic flight, Aviator Playing Cards have served as an affordable, high-quality alternative playing card for everyone from magicians to poker players.
Aviator Playing Cards are printed with a smooth finish by the USPCC and feature a bordered back available in either a Red or Blue color.
I use the red backed Aviators for tricks that require marks on the back for the effect. Black marker ink is easily seen. These are perfect and a great price.
A great deck, doesnt come with a cellophane wrape, which i like, so i can keep my gaff cards in, but to resolve this i use the Omni Armor Card Clip which does the job, this is diferent stock to the norm, which gives it a different feel, good quality, nice back design, this deck is great for doing farro shuffles, Halo Cut, and cardistry, or just for good old fashion card games.
Purchased more out of curiosity than necessity, the Aviators were on my curios list for a while so it was nice to order a deck and have a chance to explore them. While the quality is good, I didn't feel that it was particularly remarkable and to be honest, i'd prefer to use something genuinely pleasing to handle such as Cohorts. That said, I found nothing to complain about and they do handle nicely, but they just don't excite me. Print quality and the quality of the cards is, as you'd expect, fine and i'd be more than happy to handle and use a deck of these if I didn't have another choice - if that makes sense.
Not everyone's cup of tea. But I love how they faro.
