Learn over a dozen tricks and techniques with this amazing download from Andi Gladwin.

Vanishing Inc. cofounder, Andi Gladwin, is the author of our best-selling book of all time (The Boy Who Cried Magic), has been featured on television in the UK and USA, and recently fooled Penn & Teller with a trick he designed specifically for them. He has also traveled the world extensively lecturing and teaching his magic. And now, he's bringing his best material directly to you as part of the Vanishing Inc. Masterclass download series.

Andi is known for creating clear effects that have streamlined construction with an emphasis on building on little-known nuggets from magic's extensive history. This will become immediately evident in the two unique lectures included with your purchase. The download is capped off with a special bonus video in which Andi answers questions from fellow magicians and subscribers to Vanishing Inc. Monthly about the lecture material and other discussions of magic theory.

The "Andi Gladwin Masterclass" features a mix of old favorites and brand new material, including updates to some of the best card magic tricks from The Boy Who Cried Magic. It is jam-packed with amazing card tricks, intelligent commentary, and important lessons that you'll return to for many years to come.

Session 1: Ubuntu & Stacking
Separated into two parts, Andi will talk about the importance of "Ubuntu" and how that helps him shape his own magic routines. He'll demonstrate this philosophy with unpublished routines including "Collective Cutting," the most deceptive Spectator Cuts the Aces we have ever seen, a brand-new coin routine that you will want to perform, and his elegant handling of one of Hofzinser's most famous routines.

After a discussion on practice techniques, Andi gives you three sleight of hand routines to practice that all give the appearance of riffle stacking the deck without actually stacking a single card. But this session goes beyond technique; he demonstrates how a simple gambling idea can be shaped into a surprising and entertaining card routine.

Session 2: Beyond The Boy Who Cried Magic (June 12 2022)
This week is dedicated to the latest handlings of the magic from Andi Gladwin's best-selling book The Boy Who Cried Magic. He shares his favorite routines from the book (including "Perfect Order", "Ghost", "Monty Python', "Silent Movie" and more), along with all of the latest developments. He then takes a deep dive into the finer details on some of the lesser-known moves from the book, before extending the "Finesses" chapter with four brand new, unpublished card finesses.

Finally, Andi closes out the discussion by examining what he learned from publishing hundreds of magic books and effects while co-running Vanishing Inc. Magic. This includes advice on how you too can publish your own magic.

Bonus Session: Andi answers questions from Vanishing Inc. Monthly subscribers

I love all the ideas Gladwin brings. This masterclass is full of them: from techniques such as reverse culls, false shuffles or card forcing to tips on writing your own magic book. New and fresh issues that we don't usually find in magic downloads. Even Andi dares a coin trick!

In the first session, titled “Ubuntu and Stacking,” Gladden delves into the philosophy of “Ubuntu” and its influence on his magic routines. He weaves philosophy into unpublished routines like Collective Cutting. These session goes beyond sleights and incorporates a discussion on practice techniques and showcasing three sleight of hand routines that create the illusion of a deck stacking without the actual stacking. Gladden skillfully transforms a gambling idea into an entertaining card routine, demonstrating his ability to elevate simple concepts.

The second session, “Beyond the Boy who Cried Magic” is dedicated to the latest handlings of his best-selling book. He shares favorite routines from The Boy Who Cried Magic and explores lesser known moves, offering valuable insights into finer details. The session concludes the reflection on Gladden’s extensive experience in publishing magic books, providing aspiring magicians with practical advice of entering the world of magical literature.

This is an excellent video. The production value is outstanding and Andi is a great teacher. The effects taught and all the bonuses makes this an excellent buy. There are lots to learn and the magic is excellent. Andi imparts his wisdom and experience in this masterclass and I would urge any magician to purchase this Masterclass. Its my favourite one out of all the Masterclasses.

Andi Gladwin’s Q and A was a positive cap to the earlier master class sessions. Highlighting issues with some moves covered in the first two sessions such as the reverse cull and master push off was particularly helpful. There was also a healthy mix of theory discussion and general magic inquiries. All questions were thoughtfully answered by Andi. Well done.

I rather enjoyed Andi's Masterclass. He certainly spends a good amount of time crediting people for their work, but he does this intentionally. Not only does Andi teach many effects, but he tries to convey the importance of recognizing that we didn't necessarily get here by ourselves. Each effect, each sleight, is (usually) a derivative of the work of magicians preceding us. I, like Andi, enjoy seeing a credit in a book and cross referencing that with the mentioned text. This deepens our understanding and will help us develop a fuller appreciation of the art.

Of course the material covered is also top notch, and highly recommended. Nothing overly complex or requiring too much skill. In fact, much of the material uses the same sleight to accomplish the feat. Master that sleight and you can perform almost all the material covered in this lecture series.

Great job Andi.

OK, Andi Gladwin is setting the standard here. His tricks are good, and they are performed well. For his Masterclass, the production value is par excellence. His presentation is less off-the-cuff and more scripted, which is to say that it is more intentional. In other words, it is like buying a well produced DVD of his tricks, rather than a magicians talking his way through things as he goes. His tricks are good and well thought out. I would say that his tricks are more unique presentational showpieces than quirky magician-foolers, which is pretty awesome if that is what you are into. As a card guy and move monkey, I enjoyed his finesses the best. His finesses will take ubiquitous, quotidian moves and turn them into moves that even well posted magicians can't follow (the finesses are quirky magician foolers, which I personally love). It is all cards, by the way, which is FINE by me. Good job, Andi!

Wow. This is my first Masterclass and it was great. The incremental changes idea is so good. I am new-ish to magic as I am making the journey with my son, and I was not familiar with the reverse cull. Good move to know. Looking forward to part 2 of the class. I think Andy (and Josh) are great thinkers and great magicians. Thanks so much for what you do and share with the rest of us.

Andi Gladwin’s master class has been fantastic. Between his careful attention to detail (like crediting) and his deep knowledge of card magic, the explanations are crystal clear.Andi starts with an explanation of a word. Ubuntu means “I am because we are.” Andi uses this as a launching point to remind us that we owe a great deal to those who have come before us. Without the work of magicians of the past, we could not be where we are today. The two weeks are divided thusly: week one is newer material that has not seen print, as well as some great advice on practicing. One tip in this section has been greatly helpful not only in my magic practice, but in my writing as well. The first (and best IMHO) trick is “collective cutting” and it is a standout! With only a couple of moves, the spectators believe that they have cut cards, burned cards, and generally done whatever they want to with the portion of the deck that they cut. In the end each pile has an ace on top to match the predicted ace from the start of the trick. In week two, after offering some sage advice about magic publishing, Andi does a number of things from his book. If you don’t have The Boy Who Cried Magic then that ought to be your next purchase. In fact, stop reading this review and go buy it right now. No, really, go.For me, the best trick of this two-hour session was “Stop, Cut, Shuffle.” I can see how this could kill in a stand up or parlor situation. The thing is that not only is the effect very strong (cults have been started with less), but that it seems as if the performer doesn’t even touch the cards. There are some great tips on the tilt move (or depth illusion) as well as the cross-cut force. Both moves seem to have been around so long that there is very little that could be added. Watch this class and you will be amazed at some incredible touches that make both much more deceptive.Andi is an incredibly nice guy. This comes across in the lecture as well as his well-rounded learning. He teaches us lessons from Stephen King, foreign language words, and magic from long ago. This is a great class by a great guy. Highly recommended.

I am well pleased with this Lecture. Andi Gladwin's performing persona is highly accommodating and disarming at the same time. What you see is the "real person", performing and explaining the tricks. Oh, and by the way, his work with Hof's "Everywhere & Nowhere", "The Bannon Triumph", are fabulous.

This is an amazing masterclass by an amazing teacher. In the first session Andi talks about ubuntu, his spectator cuts the aces routine, a unpublished coin routine, and his take on Hofzinser's everywhere and nowhere. I especially like the spectator cuts the aces. You should definitely get this.

Missed the first 15 min. so I'll have to review. Being late just made me feel slightly behind for the rest. Quick paced but not too quick to understand. Very happy the originators were always mentioned!

There is a lot in here! Really a lot. Great tricks and in those tricks some great methods that, I think, can also be utilized in other tricks. Definitely have to watch this again, because I'm certain I missed some gold. Always love it when someone takes the time for crediting and talking about the creation of a trick.

And is a great teacher and makes it thorough without it dragging along. (Thank you for that!) Further, he is using really good material. I loved the coin work and although I'm not a card guy, I am guessing that this master class will convince me to incorporate more cards into my routines.
Thanks again Andi !!!

My first. Andy is entertaining and thorough. Missed the first half and he lost me a bit with the culling. it is beyond my capability. I use faro for a simple 2 hand poker deal and am now curious to study and practice culling for a more impressive display.
